Come Sing a Song of Joy

Andrew - Gusband and I had a commitment ceremony a few years back  and like every ceremony there was a song to begin. As it was being belted out over the rooftops of Kings Cross, one of our dearest friends leaned into us and said, “You two should be in gaol.”

Our musical taste has long been the scorn of our friends. Apparently we have the “gayest” iPod EVER! Personally we think it’s eclectic. I won’t bore you by listing the 4000 tracks on there but now that I’ve started thinking about it and I guess there are an extreme amount of songs from musicals.

When I was younger I never thought there would come a day when I didn’t know every song in the Top 40, alas that day has come. Now days we listen to local ABC radio when we are in the car and our iPod on long trips.

One of our friends thinks it’s hilarious to come to our house and have our iPod on shuffle because every 3^rd or 4^th song will without a doubt be a Christmas carol. Except at Christmas time.

So it’s true we are not cool, we have every Josh Groban album, every boy band album, every musical and every Spirit of Christmas album since 1993 at our fingertips. When we get drunk and Castello Edwardo turns into a nightclub (very loose use of the term) our neighbours must cringe and call us every manner of name over the fence. Stephanie Rice – your input would be most welcome I’m sure.

We don’t care what you all say, we have long ago embraced our inner old gay man and in all seriousness, if you are going to dance on your dining room table and who better to do that with than the cast of Glee?  Can you imagine my excitement levels when Josh Groban appeared on last years Christmas carols??

Don't even get me started on the last car trip with you both to the Blue mountains. Not only is your Ipod bad but so is your choice in radio stations, I think you do know the top 40!!! or at least the top 20. I bet you secretly have Justin Beiber on the Ipod.
Between Josh Groban & the Christmas carols I shall state the same thing I told you last Christmas.
"There will be no caroling. Who the F**K is Carol anyway?"
