Lucy – Who ever said that gardening was therapeutic, obviously wasn’t pulling weeds! I have been in the garden for approximately a half hour & I haven’t felt very calmed at all. In fact I am now a little shitty. I have let the weeds get a little bit of a hold on the garden. We did have stones in our garden but now we have a running weed covering them. This is not pretty campers! I am crawling around on the ground while Henry does nothing but watch from the sidelines in his new slobber bandana.
Sawusband is unimpressed with the tassels
Thanks for all your help Henry!
Well I wanted to give up so I came inside to write this blog. Now it looks like rain so I have decided that the fairies definitely don't think I should be gardening today either. I might just go to lunch instead.
Andrew is a bit of a garden guru! or least he wants to be. He owns all the books needed to create a masterpiece garden.
With time ticking till we go away I have realised I don't know any Italian words...So I will leave you with this translation.
Gardening = Giardinaggio
Andrew - But can you pronounce it? Not to sound like a wanker however I've been to Italy quite a few times (that's the wanker bit in case you were waiting) and can still only order coffee, a cheese pizza and say thank you. I like to use Gusband as a translator - he's quite fancy you know.
As for the gardening caper, you are on your own. We'e paved our yard to within an inch of it's life as you know and built a deck. The only garden beds we have are in complete shade most of the year so the only thing that grows in them is grass. Hence the reason we have hanging pots for our herbs and I must say they are beginning to turn up their toes as well.
Good luck with the weeding. You now live in a warm climate so you have to keep going. Us? We won't be venturing outside much for the next 5 months because it will be too cold so I think I shall let ours fend for itself.
xx
