Lucy – Before we left Bellagio for Venice we did a little wining & dining followed by some cruising to see if we could spot George.
We chartered this cruiser because as you would be aware, we don't like to share!

Drinks at a local wine bar, it was just like a cave.
We have arrived in Venice after a train journey from Bellagio. What a fabulous place. Our Palace is the Ca’Sagredo Hotel. I say Palace because it used to be one. Super spectacular room, we are on the Grand canal & had a boat transfer us from the train. After a long walk around to San Marco Square we were in desperate need of Vodka & Beer. It is real beer weather; if I drank beer I would have definitely had one. I hear the weather is a little chilly on the Willy at home (go snow patrol) you will all be pleased to hear the weather we have had has been fabulous, no wind, no clouds, no rain, clear skies all the way, I think the temperature must be around 24 - 25 deg at a guess. Sorry everyone, are you jealous yet… I’ll send you warm weather vibes.

This trip appears to have the 5 O’clock curse. That means that every morning at 5am something happens, it is inevitable that one of us will be awake for no real reason. This morning I do believe it was a phone call. Yesterday morning I got a text from Andrew asking me to give them a wake up message before we were to leave. I wondered why he would send me that at 5am & so I wrote back. Turns out he sent it before bed the night before & I didn’t get it til 5am, so now we’re all awake at 5. I wonder what tomorrow will bring, we will all be hoping for a sleep in.
