Andrew – Big day today… well big day for me because I was forced to drag my arse out of bed early to head to the Cinque Terre. I need my sleep people and that freaking mozzie in our room last night was not helping situation!
Still we made the 8.31 train from Lucca. I keep saying it but the train situation in Italy is amazing. I mean who in the right mind would have a train arriving at 8.31? And yet it did. Perhaps I spoke too soon… our train back was delayed by 34 minutes. Incredible.
The Cinque Terre was beautiful and taking the ferry was really the best way to do it. We walked the shortest distance between 2 of the towns and enjoyed the rest of the coastline from the ocean.

I know you all think I’m joking when I say it’s so easy because I travel with my travel agent but I am constantly amazed at how simple he makes it look to travel. Possibly he has pulled the wool over my eyes relating to these magical powers but after 10 years of not knowing where I’ve been or where I am, who am I to argue. I’d lend him out but then how would I get from the Union Bank to Castello Edwardo?
Tomorrow is “Lucca day”, which for me means resting, eating and drinking and generally soaking up Lucca. For 2 other likely shoppers..... who knows what it means? Don’t worry Sawusband I am the angel on their shoulders saying “quanto costa?”
Ciao for now. xx
Lucy - I'll tell you where Andrew is, the same place as me following our fearless leader around as he is knower of all. Anyone can get lost in Harrods it's a fxxking maze & it doesn't help that 5 million tourists are all there at the same time getting lost together.
As for todays adventure the ferry was a great part of the trip even though you took your life in your hands boarding & departing the boat.
